ANGLER’S LISTEN UP! Here is a new link that you can check to see if they are running water through the generators below the dam. Normal pool with no generation is 12.5 on the river level gauge. Anything above 12.5 means they are probably running water. The higher the number on the river gauge the more units are generating. This link also shows Cubic Feet Per Second being generated. This gauge does not measure flood gates release or Lake Hudson Level. Please use extreme caution and follow all laws above and below area dams.

Sailboat area on shad in 15-40ftWhat a fun day chasing the Blues. We fished our 1st spot and left there with 14 fish and then decided to try and target some bigger fish. We fished another 3 spots and only caught 1 fish. Once we got to our 4th spot before heading in we landed on them. Caught a 20lber within the first 5 minutes and man the smile on Ian’s face was worth all the hard work we put into today. We sat on the anchor for another 40 minutes and had multiple big fish on but just couldn’t get them over the ledge without breaking off or pulling off. All Fish over 30 inches are released to catch another day. Text or Call (918)998-FISH(3474) for availability and don’t forget to ask about our Fall/Winter Special Pricing. Depends on where you are fishing south of sailboat along the bluffs between Carrie bay and Patricia along the bluffs west of Patricia island by port Duncan and was thick at the point of echo bay but that was last weekend

I could not find them around twin bridges. I went south of the railroad bridge and north on Neosho River.

They were in 20ft today in the river channel and on the flats.

They are super yummy! We eat them. I'll cube them and fry it with lemon pepper seasoning.

If cleaned right they are good!!

They are different sure aren't crappie

We would smoke them they tasted great

Clean them right good food

Clean them right and soak in water, rinse soak again and get all the blood and red out. Cut up into steaks like tuna 😋

They're so good. One of my favorite fish to eat. The texture is different than other fish though.

filet. Cut off the red meat cut it into steaks I cook it like a pork chop... salt pepper flower roll it in a beaten egg flour... you'll think it's little pork steak... recipe from Grand Lake cookbook

If you clean them right, they're really good. Similar to halibut

Definitely want to clean them good first. I’ll steak em up & cook em on the grill with melted butter & garlic.

My favorite fish, great marinated then fried

Spoonbill Sammich!

get all the red out cut thick cut up some onion bell peppers squash and some mushrooms salt pepper and fresh garlic a few table spoons of butter wrap it all up in aluminum foil put it on the grill about 45 minutes 375 yummy!

Yes we eat them! Mmmm

TFour words....Uncle Buck's fish fry.

They taste GREAT!!!!!!@

There better then flat head if clean right

I like them smoked. It tastes like salmon like that

Smoke the meat. Make caviar during the spawn.

Chickens will eat em

Best fish in the lake.

Yum yum

Anyone that says they are not good simply does not know how to properly clean them. They are a large fish, and just as with any large catfish it must be cleaned correctly. It is a must that you get the red fat strip out and then there are many ways to cook it as you can see on here, but I prefer to chunk it into peaces like chicken strips, batter and float fry and eat till I pass out. "I'll take all I can get if you don't want it"🤓😃😁

Taste just like chicken

They are good just got to cut the tail off pull the spinal cord and let them bleed out then you can fillet them or make chops outta them and make sure you cut all the red meat out.

What are the regulations on Eucha concerning putting fish habitat such as cedar trees in the lake ... See MoreSee Less

Comment on Facebook

Katherine Coppenger

Any fish habitat needs to be cleared with the fisheries biologist for the City of Tulsa. Since the lake is a public water supply, we want to make sure there isnt a contamination risk. I handle the fisheries management at this time so just get ahold of me if your wanting to place habitat. Cedars are fine, but the weights would be the main concern.

We also have a waypoint list of habitat we have put out. Available at the eucha permit office.

Thank you for your information recently started fishing Echa will check existing habitat sites at Lake office. I am new at introducing anything into the lake was considering using concrete block which copper wire for attachment

That would be fine. Just let me know when your going to do it.

Ok do you have a email address or should I let you know through this site

I'll PM you

It's covered under what they don't know won't hurt em clause.

All waypoints must be shared with me

Can anyone tell me about the Riverside ramp below the dam? What flow is too much or too little to launch a boat? Can I put a bass boat in there? I've never been there but it looks interesting. Thanks. ... See MoreSee Less

Comment on Facebook

Any flow is great. Yes u can launch a bass boat.. right now they are more than likely to keep generating until the water hits 741.. Great fishing.. Cats White bass Crappie.. Good luck

I'm off a few days next week. I'll be sure and post a report.

It's best to have 2 people. Don't do it alone . Skilled boat control is essential

It can be hairy if it’s flowing fast. Alternative ramp at the Bird Hollow resort.

I ended up taking my jon boat and launching in the cove at Riverside. Caught lots of crappie, sand bass, and just about every other kind of fish. The pattern changed several times each day, but casting a jig under a bobber was the most reliable method. It seems like the 13,500 cfs they were releasing was ideal for keeping that cove filled and the fish active. They shut the water off today and the cove drained out FAST. Almost didn't get the boat on the trailer in time.

You can still fish at Indian hills just have to go on to boat slips and walk over onto crappie dock

I’ve heard they are hard to insure, hard to maintain when they are public, people damage them especially kids. Not a win when you own facilities people don’t respect.

I miss the one deeply at twin bridges..

Tons of them below the dam.

There’s no fish up spring river. Ever.

Going below dam tomorrow on river boat. Only fished for whites there before and pretty new to fishing Grand. Any tips on fishing crappie below dam would be appreciated. FYI, Taking my 3 boys 12,16, and 18 years old

After the fall bite, (hasn’t happened yet, I’m in the mouth of Dripping Springs). Where do the they go in winter months?

I am no pro at it, but my best luck in the winter is around the docks. Find brush and structure if you can and fish around and over it, and look for them under the docks when the sun is out. A trick I learned from trial and error, if you are in a small boat, sit away from the dock and cast along side it with a small (light) jig head tipped with a minnow. Cast it along side the dock and let it fall. You want a really light jig, so you can't tight line it, but you can watch your line as it moves back towards you. If it stops moving, that is because a fish has it in it's mouth! Set the hook! You'll never feel a bite, but you can watch that line! 🙂 Wish you all luck.

Well we had a great first day with Yoji Nabeta from Japan! We picked up Yoji from the airport last night for a 2 day spoonbill mini smackdown! We had Kelly Bostian from the Tulsa World in the boat to write a story about his adventure! We are excited to have Amy Slanchik from channel 6 news out tomorrow so she can also do story on Yoji! No monsters fell today but we did land around 10 solid spoonies! Hopefully tomorrow we can break 60# which is Yoji’s biggest catch ever which was stingray!! Keep tuned to the Tulsa World website and the news tomorrow night to see Yoji’s stories!

I’ve seen that Disney dam is good right now

I’ve been hearing that they have been swimming against the current all summer and some of them have tail fins “hurting”

Hahah stupid auto correct

I’m thinking about going up spring river?
