ANGLER’S LISTEN UP! Here is a new link that you can check to see if they are running water through the generators below the dam. Normal pool with no generation is 12.5 on the river level gauge. Anything above 12.5 means they are probably running water. The higher the number on the river gauge the more units are generating. This link also shows Cubic Feet Per Second being generated. This gauge does not measure flood gates release or Lake Hudson Level. Please use extreme caution and follow all laws above and below area dams.

To all the GrandFishingReport.com website viewers who have loyally followed the website for many, many years, this message is for you. Recently our reports format has changed. Many anglers and guides now post on Facebook instead of websites. Since there is so much more current information on Facebook we are following their lead. In 2017 we created a new public Facebook “group” called GrandFishingReport.com. So, if you are interested in seeing what everyday anglers like you and the guides are catching on Grand Lake, below the Grand Lake Dam, Eucha Lake or Spavinaw Lake, please join and participate.

I guess heated Crappie Docks are getting pretty scarce around Grand Lake . . .
Indian Hills is closed due to damage, Blue Bluff is not put back together yet, Four Seasons is gone. Longs, my fav, has been gone for quite some time.
Pretty sad.
... See MoreSee Less

Comment on Facebook

I think blue bluff is about ready to open was down there yesterday looking pretty good

You are right, very few anymore. I wish there was more.

Rumor is Blue Bluff is going to be members only, and not open til 6 am

Do you know if Indian Hills is going to re-open?

You can still fish at Indian hills just have to go on to boat slips and walk over onto crappie dock

I’ve heard they are hard to insure, hard to maintain when they are public, people damage them especially kids. Not a win when you own facilities people don’t respect.

I miss the one deeply at twin bridges..

Lees resort has 1 but not heated.

There no money to be made taxes and insurance

Yep

Had 7 today. Slow bite.

Just as it is so incredibly fun to catch them with the livescope. When they won't bite and you plainly see the minnow wiggling in front of them and pink jigs that have worked in November for 30 yrs don't get a bite ... give up and go deer hunting for a week ...

Can anyone tell me about the Riverside ramp below the dam? What flow is too much or too little to launch a boat? Can I put a bass boat in there? I've never been there but it looks interesting. Thanks. ... See MoreSee Less

Comment on Facebook

Any flow is great. Yes u can launch a bass boat.. right now they are more than likely to keep generating until the water hits 741.. Great fishing.. Cats White bass Crappie.. Good luck

I'm off a few days next week. I'll be sure and post a report.

It's best to have 2 people. Don't do it alone . Skilled boat control is essential

It can be hairy if it’s flowing fast. Alternative ramp at the Bird Hollow resort.

Any tips where the crappie are at right now? Was thinking about twin bridges but didnt know about water clarity?

Comment on Facebook

Tons of them below the dam.

There’s no fish up spring river. Ever.

Going below dam tomorrow on river boat. Only fished for whites there before and pretty new to fishing Grand. Any tips on fishing crappie below dam would be appreciated. FYI, Taking my 3 boys 12,16, and 18 years old

After the fall bite, (hasn’t happened yet, I’m in the mouth of Dripping Springs). Where do the they go in winter months?

I am no pro at it, but my best luck in the winter is around the docks. Find brush and structure if you can and fish around and over it, and look for them under the docks when the sun is out. A trick I learned from trial and error, if you are in a small boat, sit away from the dock and cast along side it with a small (light) jig head tipped with a minnow. Cast it along side the dock and let it fall. You want a really light jig, so you can't tight line it, but you can watch your line as it moves back towards you. If it stops moving, that is because a fish has it in it's mouth! Set the hook! You'll never feel a bite, but you can watch that line! 🙂 Wish you all luck.

We had Kelly Bostian from the Tulsa World in the boat to write a story about his adventure! We are excited to have Amy Slanchik from channel 6 news out tomorrow so she can also do story on Yoji! No monsters fell today but we did land around 10 solid spoonies! Hopefully tomorrow we can break 60# which is Yoji’s biggest catch ever which was stingray!! Keep tuned to the Tulsa World website and the news tomorrow night to see Yoji’s stories!

More rain the shallower

It's always worth going catfishing

Can't catch em if you don't go

You will usually catch more if you go fishing.

Studies show that if you don't go fishing, then you won't catch any

You catch more fish when you you have your hook in the water.

Yep

Obviously not guide comments. But funny

If you go and stay seven days I guarantee you will catch fish

Kinda hard not to catch fish in 7 days

I am seeing lots of shad activity, so I would imagine the catfish are eating well. They can't eat your hook if you don't have it in one of those shad! 😀

We end up having a pretty good day

Well I'll tell you Trey if you get them mad they will chase you I've been chased a couple times just for chunking rocks at them when they're swimming along the shoreline I've chunk plugs at him made him mad and they'll come toward the boat, had to whack him with my fishing pole and I don't like doing that good luck

Great catch. What part of the lake were you fishing if you don't mind me asking

Were they still pretty shallow like last weekend?

Ok heading out again for this fish they call crappie. Of all the fish in grand lake this one is driving me crazy to catch. Think what I need to do is book a trip with you Rusty Pritchard. Anyone have a spot they will share may help in this insanity. ... See MoreSee Less

It’s definitely not as easy as it was just 2 or 3 weeks ago. Do you have side scan?

Nelson Watson

Rusty Pritchard yes. Are you booked tomorrow? Thinking best think to do is have someone show the tricks for grand.

I've been putting it on them. Shallow water Brush piles. 12 to 22 ft. Woodward holler has been good for me or across from shangia la on the per gravel bank there's there is several piles over there. Rusty even fishes them.

Thanks Justin Hatfield I will give it a try tomorrow.

Can’t go wrong with minnows for crappie right now. 15’-25’ of water in brush

It is so great that you constantly share your knowledge Rusty Pritchard. Thank you👍

Been catching some with jigs...white head-blue plastic body working around dock

Hot grease is good for them too. 😊 I hope you get to use some.

Glad i fish downlake

Yep. I live there and it’s nasty.

The back of Honey Creek is a mud hole as well! Lots of debris floating.

Should get the catfish biting

Jeremiah Petricek hmmm that kinda sucks

A lot tougher day for us today with the wind. We couldn’t make it down to my hot piles so we stayed north and caught some nice sized ones! We had several shorts and lost quite a few. The wind really forced us to fish areas out of the wind. Thank you guys for a great 2 days and looking forward to having you out to chase the bills!
