ANGLER’S LISTEN UP! Here is a new link that you can check to see if they are running water through the generators below the dam. Normal pool with no generation is 12.5 on the river level gauge. Anything above 12.5 means they are probably running water. The higher the number on the river gauge the more units are generating. This link also shows Cubic Feet Per Second being generated. This gauge does not measure flood gates release or Lake Hudson Level. Please use extreme caution and follow all laws above and below area dams.

Never used 2 jigs on 1 line?

I use a barrel loop knot. Also called a dropper loop. I use it to tie two hooks on a line when catfishing also. I also use it on my jug lines. On a jug line if you tie a barrel loop knot every 4 feet or so, all up and down your line, you can pick which ones you want to use when you drop the line in, by simply clipping a short leader with a Circle C hook on one side and the opening end of a locking snap swivel on the other. Clip the snap swivel on the 5 loops you want to fish. All high? All low? some everywhere? When you unsnap the swivels as you bring the line up, you no longer have to deal with a hook accidentally getting caught in your hand if a big fish pulls! Just hang the hook on a bucket as you take it off, and keep pulling in the line! www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQu8N1TByuA

Comment on Facebook

Season opens about the same time as spring Turkey season.

Around good friday

Shoot me a message I will take you out

You can get them in the main lake right now. They stack in deeper holes.

Follow Nelson Watson’s guide page.

We usually start the end of March but they really start running in April. You can snag from the bank at conners bridge . Monday and Fridays are still no kill days so you cannot keep them on those days. You are allowed 1 a day and only 2 for the year.

Anytime from mid November until the first of May typically. I’ve been guiding for spoonbill over 20 years here on the lake and in my experience you have a better chance to catch a really big one in the winter months and more numbers in the spring.

Jim you should set a trip with Rusty for spoonbill. He knows what he's doing. I would call him the bill man.

Out of a boat , now. From the bank depends on water flow. If you’re flexible on time just keep up with this page .

Yea Rusty is the guy but you usually have to book in advance. I’ve been with Lance and very happy . Also hear good things about no wake and Nelson.

Thanks for the help

On cut sandbass

In the regulations book it states and l quote... In the state of Oklahoma it is legal to use any legally caught fish as bait cut or live ...

Interesting here guys . . . Here is what I found in the online version. "It is unlawful to: ... Possess a gamefish, hybrid striped bass or flathead catfish that has been filleted or had its head or tail removed while actively engaging in fishing. ..." Now since it only mentions some Game fish and white bass are not among those mentioned, and since white bass have no limit on them, like most non-game fish, it may be a gray area. But, I would ask a Warden to be sure. I was once told that I could bow fish White bass, but according to the booklet, you can only use Gigs and spears on them! It gets confusing. And did anyone else notice that game fish includes, "white and striped bass", but does not include Hybrids? Wade Smith, I hate to say this, but I couldn't find your quote in this guide anywhere. I had to really look, but I finally found the Regulations for fishing (not just the guide). I still couldn't find what you claimed. However, I am guessing, but I believe the reason you can't possess game fish that have been filleted, is to verify the size. Since white bass have no size limit, maybe that is why they are not listed. I also can not find anywhere where using a game fish for bait is not allowed! They specifically mention ways that you are not allowed to take fish and that includes things like poison and explosives . . . not other game fish! So when in doubt, check with the guys at the top! The rules are very confusing! www.wildlifedepartment.com/laws_regs/2014_OK_FISH_GUIDE.pdf

To find the fishing regulations I had to go here and then go down the Title 29 and open the pdf. www.oklegislature.gov/osStatuesTitle.aspx

Bunch of snitches on here.

Snitches get stiches

AAAAAHAHAHAHA THE FOCK OUTTA HERE W UR BULLSHIRT

That’s ok wade let the dumb A’s get a call from the wardens on what they posted. If these people don’t think these sights aren’t being monitored they have another thing coming

Google is it illegal to use game fish as bait in the state of Oklahoma and see what it tells you...

Man you got to love this Facebook page!!! You try to give some information and you get called all kind of name's and even get threatened by some. It doesn't pay to try to be helpful.. Truthfully I don't give a rats ass weather you use white bass for bait or not but a Worden or Lake patrol may have a different opinion...

I'm not worried about it at all, I know the regs, if I was I never would stated I used sandbass or deleted it, besides I've had my license checked several times when using my sandbass, so feel free to tag a warden or screen shot it or something, I ain't scared

Aren’t the big blues super gamy?

Billy johnson, tell them what's up

You can tie off at the cable. Right now big spoons are doing the trick.

That don’t look good to me.

i have never cared to tell people where i catch my fish... i been telling people all my spots for over 7 years and not only langley dam and i still catch my limits everytime i go so i think thats the reason why the lord provide fish for me and my friends all the time

Nice catch!!!

You're just going to have to be like the rest of us and go try it LOL

Dirty

Yea...its water...a lot, and it flows down hill

Cold!

Chocolate milk

Clear clear water

I was there yesterday it was muddy around twin bridges but started to clear up the farther you ran up Kent Daniels

Was there new year day. Could not see the bate 6 in deep. No fish for us.

Some of you guys are harsh. This page is for information to help others. If you don’t want to help then don’t even comment. That’s the reason it’s called fishing report. This disappoints me on this page.

Kent Daniels are you going today? What are you fishing for?

Was there yesterday! The water is still murky around twin but clears up near the piers. Bites was few and far Inbetween.

The few I have hear about are still in the main channels near the drop offs around 20 to 30 feet. Wish you well.

Its been real slow at the docks

Lee’s has been catching a few. Hasn’t been good, but patience can yield a decent stringer.

So Coach Warren Brumley and I spent 5 hrs. scouting and dropping on lots of fish today. Fish in the livewell 0. Then about 3:00 we caught #1 at 4:22 #23 and it was time to head back to ramp before dark. All Crappie were caught on hair jigs double rigged 1/32 over 1/16 dark colors. We tried to stay out of the wind as much as possible.
Duck Creek area. Lots of bait fish and the Crappie were caught 25’up to 10’. Happy New Year!
Hope y’all get out there and wet your lines in 2020.

I like the pvc stars

I prefer a livewell. Lol

Any material that creates cover works . Wood fence posts with pvc branch’s work .

GRDA approves pvc & they provide to the public twice per year at Rush for Brush events. Works great!

Yes

I like wood best. PVC does work though.
