Larry and H. D. Westmoreland, from Dublin and Hamilton, Texas, along with Martin Landing catfish guide Jerry Kropff (center), display some of their weekend catch of fifteen, mostly over ten pounds, including a twenty-three pounder.

Dexter Woods (right) and son Dillon display their winning 15.62 lb. catch at the 117 boat "Fishin' Pals" tournament that went out of Martin Landing Sunday, May 2nd. The tournament teams are comprised of an adult and a fishing "pardner" under 16 years of age. Seven year-old Dillon said he didn't catch all of the fish... his "Dad helped some."

The 1.5 lb. big crappie of the Indian Hills Crappie Tournament April 17-18 was caught by Chris Jeffery (above-left) as Indian Hills co-owner Charlotte Johnson looks on. The big slab helped put Jeffery and his partner, Tom Houston, in second place with a total weight of 10.7 pounds. Thirty-eight teams took part in the tournament.

Fishing the Aspinwal area, the Trease boys won the Indian Hills Crappie Tournament over the weekend of April 17-18. They fished out of their boat using fuzzy jigs, catching their ten fish weighing 12 plus pounds, tight lining in about eight feet of water.

Larry Bryant, Grove, and his partner, Bradley Hillman, Norman, had five bass that topped the scales with over 27 pounds. They also took big bass honors with a 6.81 pounder, giving them checks totaling over $5,000.00.

Second place went to Jason and Charles Christie, from Sallisaw, with 21.62 pounds.
