Volunteers sought for mercury monitoring program

Langley - In cooperation with the LEAD agency, Harvard University and the University of Oklahoma, the Grand River Dam Authority is assisting researchers by seeking volunteers to participate in a study of mercury exposure in people who eat fish caught in the Grand Lake watershed.

Participants will complete questionnaires about their fish consumption and provide hair samples to be tested for mercury.

GRDA Ecosystems will hold an informational meeting on Thursday, October 28, at 6:30 PM at the GRDA Ecosystems and Education Center in Langley. All interested volunteers are encouraged to attend.
