Volunteers
sought for mercury monitoring program
Langley - In cooperation with the LEAD agency,
Harvard University and the University of Oklahoma, the Grand River Dam
Authority is assisting researchers by seeking volunteers to participate in a
study of mercury exposure in people who eat fish caught in the Grand Lake
watershed.
Participants will complete questionnaires about
their fish consumption and provide hair samples to be tested for mercury.
GRDA Ecosystems will hold an informational
meeting on Thursday, October 28, at 6:30 PM at the GRDA Ecosystems and Education
Center in Langley. All interested volunteers are encouraged to attend.
